Three generations committed to your oral health
At Fernández Acosta Dental Clinic, we have a team made up of three generations of professionals committed to ethical, friendly, and high-quality dentistry.
Dr. Lourdes Acosta Medina, who specialises in orthodontics, and Dr. Fernando Fernández, a pioneer in implantology in Andalusia, lead the clinic after decades of experience and international training.
Alongside them, Dr María Hilaria and Dr Marta Fernández Acosta continue the family legacy with a modern vision, contributing their experience in general, cosmetic and paediatric dentistry.
Each member of the team combines rigorous training, advanced technology and a human touch to always offer the best care to our patients.

A tribute that we carry in our hearts
We cannot talk about our team without mentioning Reme. Although she is now retired, her presence lives on in the soul of the clinic.
She dedicated more than 50 years of service to our family and to all the residents of Vélez.
Committed to the community
At our clinic, we believe that dentistry goes far beyond the dental chair. Our commitment to the community is reflected in projects and initiatives that seek to educate, prevent and accompany people at all stages of life.
AFFA Association – Alzheimer's and other dementias
Our collaboration with the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients (AFFA) stems from our deep respect and affection for those living with this disease and their families.
Scientific evidence has shown that there is a connection between oral health and cognitive decline. Problems such as periodontitis (a chronic gum infection) are associated with an increased risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
At our clinic, we work to offer preventive care, emotional support and dentistry tailored to the needs of these patients, with special sensitivity, patience and empathy.
For us, caring for the mouth at these stages is also a way of caring for the dignity and quality of life of the person.
British School of Málaga
As a former pupil of the school, Dr Marta Fernández Acosta has been particularly enthusiastic in promoting a collaboration with the British School of Málaga, based on education, prevention and personal connection.
At our clinic, we promote the importance of teaching children to take care of their mouths from an early age.
Teaching them healthy habits, explaining why it is important to brush properly and attend regular check-ups, and detecting potential problems early on are key to ensuring they enjoy a healthy mouth throughout their lives.
Prevention and early diagnosis in childhood are the foundation for strong oral health in the future.
We have given educational talks and welcomed school students on work experience placements so that they can experience first-hand what it is like to work in a committed and friendly clinic.
